what are you doing new year's, new year's eve?
i think of these words
sung byElla Fitzgerald...

to answer that question myself... ab-so-freakin-lutely nothing.
by choice...could have gone out with Patti and Nolan...
but would rather stay home and read and watch movies...
see...that is something...i guess i'm
not doing nothingafter all...

ahhhh...the excitement of my life

{please contain yourself}

finished Veil of Roses

it has been a while since
i finished a book so
quickly. it was a very good read.
now i will be starting And Only to Deceive
by Tasha Alexander. she is a "local"
author here in TN.
i need to pick up French Women
Don't Get Fat and read it for
a while. otherwise i won't have
it finished in time.

i also just finished watching the movie "If Only."
it has Jennifer Love Hewitt and Paul Nicholls.
very romantic, but not the ending i was expecting
nor wanting. and of course the romantic
part left me with a feeling of longing for love. wondering
if love {real, true love} will happen to me.

ditto...too many books, too little time

{inspired} by the foxhole diaries...
i too have been compelled
to read,
read,
read.
i am currently reading
~Veil of Roses
it's about a girl that is from Iran that comes to
America in hopes to find a husband
in order to stay in America...very interesting to see
how she adjusts
and reacts to the VERY different culture
she has found in America

Also ready for the reading:
~Love, Rosie
~A Bride Most Begrudging
~And Only to Deceive
~The Time Travler's Wife (maybe a book club read???)

Also, in preparation for book club
i purchased:
~To Kill a Mockingbird
~The Girls Guide to Fishing and Hunting

i am only a little into French Women Don't Get Fat. i
should be focusing on that before reading the
others, but i'm on vacation...so i say i
can read whatever i want...

bad, bad blogger

i am a bad blogger...
but i will try to do more in the new
year...
lots
and
lots
of things i need to "try" to do in
the new year.

to name a few:

1. pray more
2. read the Bible more
3. find a new church
4.change of lifestyle
a. eat better
b. exercise
~which will lead to weight loss and a healthy
new me...for life~
5.read for fun more
6.read for knowledge
7.scrapbook more
8.take more pictures...which in turn will
give me something to scrap
9.blog more
10. laugh more

the list could go on...most of these things simply must be done.
i have to
do them, but
i will need God's help...
otherwise it will be impossible.

homesick...

i am a bit homesick...

probably too much info, but i'm
the hormonal one here, so
i can say whatever i want to say!

i guess it's a good think my
parents are coming out for
Christmas...

although i think i need a
little
trip to NM. surely after about
a week i'll be ready to back here

just feeling blue...
